Photo Spot Spot A - Avenida Almirante Silvio Noronha

Renowned for its extremely short runway and its beautiful scenery, the Airport of Rio de Janeiro - Santos Dumont is generous with spotters. Used only for domestic flights by private aircraft and has an interesting traffic is used extensively by TAM and GOL to airlift Rio and Sao Paulo. We can cite two main spots on the airfield:

Located at the end of Avenida Almirante Silvio Noronha near the Naval Academy.
Photos are best taken in the afternoon. to get here, you leave the airport towards the bottom of the college, when you leave the airport building take the left are about 20 minutes walking on foot.

Lenses 18-200 and 70-300mm, depending on the runway to be used.

The place is safe and not problems with police and airport security, there are places around (tents) where you can buy water and drinks.

This place is inside the airport, the area is glazed, but usually the windows are clean, you will photograph the aircraft taxi, but with a 400mm lens can take pictures or takeoffs and landings, but in Rio it is very hot and has many hotwaves.
