Guide to Paris Orly Airport (ORY / LFPO)

Paris and Frances’ second airport is still well worth a visit with major North African and American carriers along with the IT carriers such as TUI – Corsair, can be seen. The airport has 3 runways. 06/24, 04/26 & 02/20 and each can be viewed with a varying degree of success, however the latter is rarely used and it appears it is never used for arrivals as there is no tell tail rubber deposits at either end. When the aircraft arrive from the east then 26 is used and when from the west, 06 is used. Unlike CDG, no letters are required and the police did ‘t bother us, that can, of course, change.

Photo Spot Spot A - Terminal

The terminal has a viewing deck but the last time I used it was 15 years ago as it is enclosed in glass and faces south. Making photography quiet hard.

Leave the airport on the N7 heading south, turn right onto the D118 carry on until you leave the village and enter a large roundabout. Take the exit to the right, travel about 1 mile, 1.5 km to a second roundabout, turn right and arrive at Rue du Berger from here departures from 24 can photographed.

Leave the airport on the N7 heading south. As youu leave the tunnel keep right and leave N7. At the RBT turn right to the mini RBT. Keep right, then turn left and 2nd right on to Rue Frances Malard. At the cross roads turn right and Rue Marceau park on the right and enter park past the Super Etendard and onto the bump that over looks the threshold of 04, beware you are very close, so take a small lens!!! From here aircraft departing aircraft line up infront of you and a/c arriving on 26 can be seen taxing to the terminal, just be aware of the wind socks and aerials.
