Photo Spot Spot A - Runway 28 entry point

This is the most popular spot situated parallel to the entry of runway 28,it is a car lay-by that offers great views of all movements of runway 10/28 depending on which is in use aircraft either line up here or from this spot aircraft are just airborne, there are no charges to park here.
A 300mm lens will be plenty here,a decent pair of binoculars will be needed to read regs of aircaft parked on the apron on the other side of the airfield not on stand.Due to a new higher fence being built in front of this spot(which curiously drops down 2 feet after the lay-by),photos from this spot will have a big chunk of fence in them, all credit should go to the airport authority for that, they really ruined a good spot. However if spotting is of only interest then this spot is still the best.

Photo Spot Spot B - Runway 10 entry point

This spot is situated at the other end of the runway, looking over the entry point of runway 10,it offers good shots of landing & departing aircraft, there is no offical car parking here, the spot is a grass mound next to an entrance to an industrial estate, again there are no charges to view aircraft.

Aer Lingus has flown 747's into Dublin Airport. One was named St Patrick indeed. 747 freighters and possibly others still land at Dublin.
