Guide to Warsaw Okecie Airport
The main road leading to the airport is Zwirki i Wigury.
The airport is easy of access by car, the municipal bus service or taxi.
The main operating Airlines are of course LOT-Polish Airlines,Lufthansa,British Airways,Aer Lingus,Air France,TAP-Portugal,Aeroflot and KLM.
There are many other seasonal operators also.
Currently there are 2 major Terminals with the low cost "Etiuda" terminal closing in April to the delight of many travellers.
A large part of the movements are from 2 large Low-cost airlines-Wizzair & Norwegian Air Shuttle. However in the last 12 months there has been an 'Exodus' in this market with Easyjet,Ryanair,BMIbaby and Centralwings ending services to the UK as well as Wizzair and Norwegian removing some UK airports from service.
Warsaw does however enjoy regular Cargo movements with UPS,TNT,Swiftair,FedEx and Sprint Air operating daily with a wide range of aircraft.
Because of Warsaw's status as Polands Capital it enjoys many state visits bringing lots of interesting visitors to the airport.
For spotters there are 11 good viewing points all easily reachable by public transport or by car(although taking a guide with you is advisable for the 1st time)There are lots of spotters in WAW and all are very friendly so just ask for any help and someone will do so. Each place offering a unique view depending on traffic direction and time of day.
Be aware that if you are planning on going into the city or to some of the other viewing points there are lots of "Fake" Taxi drivers waiting for unknowing tourists,if anyone approaches you offering a taxi kindly decline as many are unlicensed and will charge between 2-3X more than an authorised company.Leave the terminal and you will see lots of genuine taxis although a little more expensive than some in the city these are the ones to use, many speak english and will even provide a receipt.Alternatively the bus is a short walk from the terminal but you will NEED TO BUY a ticket before hand(unless you speak Polish)If so you can buy from the driver.
The main runway for Departures is 29 or 15 while arrivals tend to be on 33 or 11.ALL LOT 767's depart from either 33(Never 29) or 15.There are 3 hotels within a short walk of the airport, however they are priced the same as those in the city so it's best to head for centre as there's more choice.

Some good information here that has come usefull.
As for spot D I also have a question, I was there one and found it a nice place, however I saw some recent pictures from works in progress there, as also mentioned here.
So this place is not anymore accesible, but how about the runway use .. ? I also heard Runway 29/11 is temporarly out of use? Or is this incorrect. If still in use, is it also used for the bigger aircraft or just the smaller (as I read there is a 'displaced treshold' so probably also shorter runway for the moment?). I know heavy planes also used to land on RWY 11 before (where there was a nice spot at the shopping mall).
Thx and best regards, Yannick
