The UK's newest airport it is fast growing with services from Thomsonfly both long haul and short haul and from Thomas Cook to Tunisia every Sunday afternoon and a daily service from Ryanair to Dublin aswell as 2 new service's to Pisa and Gerona(Barcelona)and a Winter EasyJet service to Geneva

Other destination's include: Palma, Alicante, Florida(Stanford), Dominican Republic, Amsterdam, Cancun(Mexico), Geneva, Pisa, Gerona, Nice and other destination's served by Thomsonfly

We have also seen some special visitor's at the airport such as the new Flyglobalspan B767-300, Titan B737-300, Avro 146 and B757-200, we have also seen airline's doing flight training like Monarch A300, First Choice, My Travel and Monarch B757-200 and an Astraeus B737-300 .

Spot A - Landside Lounge

The best place to get a feel of the airport movement's overlooking one of the region's longest runway and the ramp area it's like waiting in the departure's hall, but without leaving the ground!

Spot B - Old Bawtry Road

Old Bawtry Road in Finningley Village. This spot is adjacent to the runway and can get some good landing and take off shots here, although the fence can be a little obtrusive. From Finningley Village enter Old Bawtry Road and drive passed the Harvey Arms Public House. You eventually come to a open area, where other spotters/dog walkers park. From here, you can see across the airfield to the the terminal, however, for shots of parked aircraft on the ramp, you will need atleast a 400-500mm lens. Good landing/take off shots can be obtained here, if Runway 20R is in use. If 20L is in use, by time the aircraft reach this spot, they are overhead.
