Although most of the charters have diverted to nearby Sanford, Orlando International remains very busy with both International and domestic traffic. Visitors from Europe will be interested in the domesstic US traffic, Delta have a hub at the airport while all the other major US carriers are regulars. International airlines include Aeromexico, Air Canada, Air Jamaica, British Airways, Martinair Holand and Virgin Atlantic.

There are the odd couple of spots at Orlando for photography but as with all US airports it is pretty poor. At the time of my visit the following spots were fine, I had no problems with them. However with the continued terrorist threats and the resulting over-reaction of anything aviation related then you may get asked to move on etc, although as far as I'm aware there is no law preventing you from taking photos of aircraft, either inside a terminal or on the outside of a building!
Orlando Airport have said that spotting is possible from the Car Park if you have permission first, visit their website (link on right) to find out more. If you are just going for views I would advise this, however photography is not possible as it is very distant.

Photo Spot Spot A - Inside the Terminal (B)

Before September 11 anyone could walk right up to the gate at any US airport. This has now changed, gate areas are only now open to travelling passengers. As I used Terminal B, I cannot offer any advice for Terminal A, but photography may be possible here also. If travelling from the southern satellite in Terminal B then hed over to the Burger King and bar next to the windows. This will offer you reasonable views of the taxiway and runway. Although the runway will be too far for most aircraft you should be able to get most aircraft that use Terminal B as they taxi past, either before departing or after arriving. All Terminal A aircraft will be totally missed though. Airlines using Terminal B are as follows: Delta (including Delta Connection carriers), Frontier, Southwest, Jetblue, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Aeromexico, Martinair, LTU and Spirit Airlines (not complete list). Most others use Terminal A.
