| The forward flight deck of the USS George H W Bush (CVN-77) from the main bridge. The new carrier was anchored in Stokes Bay, off Portsmouth with Carrier Air Wing Eight embarked. The modern USN CVW includes various variants of Hornets, Super Hornets, Growlers, Hawkeyes and Sea Hawks. Gone are the Tomcats, Prowlers and Vikings. | ||

| Departing 29 at Mildenhall. This was the first time outside the US that a USN Orion had been photographed publicly fitted with the highly sensitive Littoral Surveillance Radar System (LSRS) pod. What few sightings that had taken place previously in the US were believed to have shown Orions from another government agency masquerading as USN Orions. Subsequently, the LSRS pod has become a common sight fitted to USN Orions. | ||
