| 3(F) Squadron Typhoon F2 overshooting runway 25 at RAF Coningsby on the last day of July, 2007. This aircraft was returning from one of the very first RAF Quick Reaction Alert sorties flown by the type, and before they officially took over Southern QRA from the Tonado F3. The overshoot clearly shows the live ordnance fitted for a QRA sortie; with four medium range AIM-120A/B active-radar missiles under the fuselage and a similar number of short range ASRAAM infra-red missiles on the wing stations. | ||
