I am planning to visit Aberdeen to do some photography and would appreciate a bit of local knowledge.

Could anyone tell me which runway is most used?
My guess is 34.

When aircraft depart do they climb out to the ADN beacon at Whiterashes before turning south, if they are heading south?

I fancy some long exposure stuff, so the less time wasted standing around in the freezing cold the happier I'll be.

Actually 16 is favoured from ATC point of view, however the winds seem to be almost permanently northerly these days.....

Very few departures (off 34) get as far as the ADN, most will turn left/right at 1-2000ft.
