Rumour on Azerbaijani news site that Azerbaijan Airlines looking to start a Baku - Aberdeen service "in the near future". Oil industry the big draw. We shall see whether anything comes to fruition.

It does look like this is happening, although no official announcement yet. Baku appears on the BAA ABZ route map, but not on the destinations list yet.

There is finally a news release on the Azal website about this the worst kept secret in Aberdeen
