Which airlines that have gone out of service do you miss the most nowadays?

Mine would be Aeroperú ! I liked the design, especially the 757s design! Also, Pan American World Airways! I liked the way their 747-241 was known as "Clipper Maid Of The Seas"

So in your opinion, which airline would you want to see back in service?

For me its some of the UK Charter airlines, such as Britannia and Airtours. For me, when you went down to Spain, Greece etc, you knew where the flights were from just by the livery, but since they've all been merged into bigger groups, they all look the same, just different names on the side (think TUI, Thomas Cook).

Also miss Zoom for the cheap Canada flights and great service.

Flying Tigers, Courtline, Seaboard World, TWA, PanAm, Laker....too many to mention, but I suppose the theme has to be the classic schemes of the 70's for me. A bit of colour, a bit of bare metal. BOAC, although technically still around (BA), was nice to have around. Anything you could see from the Queens Building in its day. If only BAA put a bit of thought in to having a gallery at LHR like they have at AMS. How much easier would that be?

Laker and Braniff - Pan Am and TWA. Calidonian too, flew on a couple of their stars also - a great experience.

Britannia Airways
Dan-Air London
Laker Airways
British Caledonian

as well as one that was doing quite well at one stage, Manx Airlines. Always liked their colourful planes.

I also miss seeing some of the non-UK operators like Spantax with their Coronados as well as Aviaco with surplus ex-Iberia DC8-61 planes that seemed exotic.

Over the pond, CP Air, Wardair and Pacific Western.

@ Johansen Pan Am should be in service, I especially liked the way they "named" their Boeing 747s- Clipper Maid Of The Seas, Clipper Spark Of The Ocean!

I don't understand why Aeroperú went bankrupt because of a maintenance negligence???? It would have been nice to see it airborne!

Overall, British Airways and any airlines should bring back Concorde! That is one aircraft a lot of people want to see!
