Hi.
I had finished my Electrical trade training and was posted to RAF Binbrook on 617 squadron. After a few weeks I had the chance of a cross country flight in a Lincoln. I was belted in to the rear turret and actually given a resume' on firing them! There were two extra gunners as well. The plot thickens! Had I been put on the wrong Lincoln? A Lincoln had been shot down by the Russians a few months previous in the Berlin corridor! Yes, we did go to berlin and fly down the corridor. When we landed back at Binbrook and I reprted in the flight office, the book I signed had gone and new one was on the shelf. The plot had thickened!!!
