It might be re-opened by another company..who knows!

Would be surprised if it wasn't bought by someone else, but then on the other hand someone could see more money in converting it into a restaurant/bar or something...

Sorry to say but i think StarmonarA380 might be right. I bet that there's more money to be made in turning it into office space or restaurant space than a place for spotters. I've be there when its been empty all morning can't have been making much of a profit over the years and i started taking my daughter in the early 90s. It would be sad to lose it.

I've never been, but I was making it one of the places I'd like to visit fo photography. That' a No No Situation unless it gts re-opened and bought over by a new company. But I'm guessing maybe not.

I've heard that there is a new viewing area being developed. Can anyone get any images of this 'new area'?

I have heard many whispers this week that the airport are looking at the old terminal building as a permanent viewing centre and airport history museum once air traffic move out. I don't think there are any better views of the airfield. Nice to think they will preserve it.
