how do you get some good photos with the fence in the way and no ladder?

The last time I was there, I stood on a small mound at the bottom end of the car park which enabled me to shoot over the fence. There was also a small section of security fencing at the far (left hand) end of the car park that had come adrift and been bent back (not by me, I might add!) to provide an uninterupted view of the nearby taxiway. The other alternative is to climb up and perch on one of the tubular metal trolley bays, which will, again, enable you to see over the fence, although the downside is that you will need a longer zoom lens.
