Its a question that has been debated over many years. Boeing is my choice over Airbus. Just the beautiful look of the Boeing aircraft and the lovely sound of their engines. Any disagree? And why?

Airbus because they're european and they produce the A380 and they have pioneered things like fly by wire and their aircraft have systems no other/not many other aicraft have, like that one that means it is almost impossible to stall it.

P.S this thread has a whiff of A.net

What's A.net??

I agree with MartinJW12 on both Airbus and the A.net issue. I do prefer the look of the 747 but I love the tech of the A380 especially the "Brake to vacate" system. Also having seen the 787 at MAN/EGCC recently I was not impressed at all it is just a widebody twin jet and in my opinion there too many of them out there at the moment, 4 engines always gets me exited and size does as well. That size does as well bit sounds wrong laughing.

can someone please me what a.net is lol

Why no mention of Embraer? Size definitely isn't everything and, in my opinion, E-Jets are the some of the best looking aircraft in service today - although, to be fair, nothing beats a B757 when it comes to good looks!

A.net = airliners.net

I'm in the boeing camp since I've never flown on an airbus and same as baltimore, I'm for the 757.

@Baltimore it's just two Manufacturers I love embraer! the looks and interior is beautiful in the embraer aircraft

The engines are completely irrelevant. The engines are not made by either Airbus or Boeing so they'll sound just as good on any aircraft. I like both manufacturers planes because I am an aviation enthusiast, however in terms of economics I prefer to see Airbus getting the orders because they have or have had big connections with the UK. Having said that, the UK has involvement in both Airbus and Boeing programs.

I'm not impressed with the 787, I think its an overrated plastic 767, no offence to any 787 lovers intended. I have to agree however, the 757 is probably the best aircraft EVER built except/along with maybe the DC3 and MD11 possibly maybe the A380 and A340.

The B787 is a much better looking aircraft than the B767, although, to my way of thinking the 'ugly duckling' award has to go to the A300/310. I'll probably be burned at the stake for being a heretic, but I always thought that the Lockheed Tristar is a lot easier on the eye than the MD11.

Nah, It's your opinion But I have to disagree the A300 is Phit xD However I do agree with you that the tristar is Easier on the Eye.. The DC-10 Is also a Good looking aircraft but doesn't beat the MD-11.

I agree the 757 is the best looking aircraft but too me the -300 is the better of the two, just for its sheer length and it looks really good in the arkia livery from israel who fly into AMS and FRA
