The other night my missus was watching Corrie,(I can't abide it),and the Airport kept being mentioned so I paid attention to it.This Blonde Bird and her Boyfriend where supposed to be flying to Cyprus and the Storyline would lead people to think that there is at least 3 flights per day from MAN to Cyprus.

Plenty of days when considerably MORE than three a day to Cyprus albeit supplemented with Thomson and Thomas Cook charters. Currently only Tuesday with a single scheduled flight to Larnaca with Monarch.

Scheduled you got EasyJet Jet2 and Monarch to Paphos plus Jet2 and Monarch to Larnaca

Oh and a weekly to Ercan In North Cyprus !

So for once story line not that far fetched as you might have considered.

And Manchester is actually down an airline since Cyprus Airways give up at Christmas.

Without being funny........... Corrie is NOT real !!

How many programmes and films with anything aviation related are 100% correct, hardly any !!

Dave ............ (in the real world, not the land of the "Soap")

Airline... Airport... just kidding. You make a good point there, it's like casualty; ask any doctor or nurse and they'll tell you how pathetic it is.

Passenger 50 something (might be 51 or 57 I cant remember) is 99% accurate with the L1011, right down to the downstairs galley and dumb waiter.

Soul plane is really accurate too tongue out

It is one of my pet hates when a 'flight' takes off in a 767, wheels of a 747 go up, cruise is in a 737 and they land in an MD83. I could almost put the cat through the telly

Hahahaa laughing you are really funny Whitehatter. "put a cat through the telly" it's just so random laughing

I do hate that though. But the thing is, in those shots. Instead of adding loada of clips, surely it would be much easier and much more accurate to video the same aircraft during takeoff and then look for a similar one for the landing shot.

no, because all they do is go to the library and drag out random clips from a database.

Some halfwit then pastes them together thinking that the average Joe won't know the difference, meaning yet another visit to the vet for my Norwegian Forest Cat.
