Hi

Just thought i'll let you all know that Jet2 new toy, Boeing 737-800WL G-GDFC (Ex Transavia PH-HZC) was delivered to Leeds/Bradford this morning.

She arrived from Amsterdam at around 10am ish and is currently parked up on stand 19 if anyone wants to see it for the first time.

Must be one of the few 737's with winglets, i also see that jet2 have two more 757-200 on order, they should be delivered before the summer

The two LS 757s are coming from Thomsonfly. G-BYAH and G-BYAI to become G-LSAL and G-LSAM, both leased from Allegiant in the USA so possibly only a 12 month lease and no silver respray.

There is another 737-300 coming too from Thomsonfly, G-GDFE

Jet2 should receive 2 B752's and a B738 by the middle of next month, with a possibility of 4 more B738's on the way.

Boeing 757-200
Both aircraft have now been sold to Allegiant, but will be leased immediately to Jet2. G-BYAI is at Luton in allegiant colours without titles, and will most likely not take up its reserved reg of N904NV. It will, however, remain in those colours and gain full-size Jet2.com titles.

G-BYAH is in Dubai, so may well get painted in to full Jet2.com colours

Boeing 737-800
PH-HZC has been re-registered as G-GDFC, and is in the paint-shop in Amsterdam, should roll out soon in full colours.

I'm hearing an interesting story about them.
Allegiant have agreed to take them but they might be doing an Air Florida/Air Europe type arrangement with LS. Jet2 need capacity in the summer and Allegiant have their upcoming Hawaii traffic in the winter. Both are lowcost model airlines so no cabin tweaks needed.

G-BYAH probably will not come back in any new colours from AUH as repaints generally get done here or Maastricht. The 738 is at Leeds Bradford and will be getting the seats swapped out for the Jet2 lightweight ones. I reckon the 757 will be sprayed into Jet2 White as that's the easy-change livery for aircraft that they intend to farm out over the winter.

B737-800WL, G-GDFC is currently parked up at Leeds as i posted yesterday the first message on here saying that it had been delivered. She never got painted job done at Amsterdam prior delivery. It's still waring Transavia Cols just without titles. Only thing that seems to have been done was the aircraft reg was changed.
Its said she will be going to air livery in Norwich sometime this week for a re-spray into Jet2 Cols.

The second B737-800 thats due for delivery is due next month from german airline tui-fly. This should be reg'ed G-GDFD.
Meanwhile an Thomson Airlines B737-300 is also due for delivery sometime next month as well hopefully. This is said to be one of the G-THO? machines.

The 2x B757-200 ex Thomson Airways are coming next month. It has already been mentioned that G-BYAH is in Dubai. She is having a C-Check done and having her wing-lets added.
G-BYAI is currently parked at London Luton and has already had her C-check, winglets and paint job done. Both aircraft will ware a basic Allegiant cols with Jet2 titles. It looks like they will be operated here in the UK throughout the summer months and in the winter months over in the USA.

Also rumour going around that upto 6 more B737-800's could be heading jet2's way within the next 12 months.
