There was a lot of speculation about FR operations at Leeds last year, but an unofficial statement from someone at the airline (IE no attribution or actual numbers quoted) was that they are happy with the performance of the base.

Manchester re-opening should not affect them at all at LBA. Ryanair seem to want a lock on the M62 corridor and its millions of passengers. Maybe HUY is next in line for something!

Ryanair have confirmed that they are looking at basing a 3rd Boeing 737-800 aircraft at LBA next year 2012.

By all accounts ryanair decision to base at LBA was nothing to do with the fact that they pulled out of MAN. LBA and ryanair had been talking about setting up a base from as early as summer 2008.
