Hi

Jet2 today recived delivery of its first of 2 Boeing 757-200WL on lease from USA based airline Allegaint. G-LSAL was ferried from Lasham to Leeds/Bradford as LS31E and arrived here at 16:45.

The second leased machine G-LSAM is due to follow in weeks along with the 2nd B737-800 from TUI germany and a B737-300 from Thomson Airways.

Yep, couple of the old Britannia Airways ones. No winglets when TOM had them so if they have them now, they only jut got fitted.

Nice Colours - Mix of Allegiant and Jet 2!

I think the leases are only for Summer 2011 as Allegiant have bought four of them off TOM to do Hawaii. They can't use the four planes as yet (think it's a complex issue which also includes ETOPS qualification as it's a long overwater stretch).

They will still have the TOM interior which isn't bad at all, unless LS is fitting them out for G4 with the slimline seats they use. Good idea though to use them as billboards for Jet2holidays, and I hope I'll get a ride on one down to Malaga

Come on Steve, its a hybrid, what did you expect? tongue out

Hmmm I'm with Steve on this one, colours looks very messy and don't match. I do like the idea of a logojet for Jet2Holidays though, very cool.

Alan i know its a hybrid but they could of made more of an effort.....

The Allegiant 757(Ex TOM) is still at man so is this gonna go Jet 2 as well?

supposed to be. Probably waiting for a hangar slot somewhere to get the decals and wingie things. The summer timetables don't kick in properly for a while yet, and LS probably has more 757s available than needed at the moment with SSH not operating.

I actually like the hybrid/logojet scheme as it's at least something different.
