Jet2.com Boeing 757-200WL, G-LSAM (Jet2 Holidays) Diverted into Leeds/Bradford this morning operating the LS169 service from Manchester to Ibiza.
She was heading south just passing Birmingham before making a U-Turn and returning back North into LBA. Anyone know what happened?

The aircraft was heading southbound overhead Northern France before making a U-turn and diverting into LBA. The passengers have now been moved on to a replacement aircraft (B737-300, G-CELS) which has now departed to Alicante as LS377A.
A few minutes later they reported that they had a flap problem but said that they would make a 2nd attempt at landing at LBA. So they were vectored for a 12 mile final approach onto Runway 32 and mentioned to ATC that they would be making a high speed approach without the use of his flaps.
The LBA fire crews was put on standby but were not needed, After the aircraft made a safe landing.
Jet2.com Boeing 757-200, G-LSAJ diverted into LBA in the early hours. Well 02:00 operating the Cork to Newcastle service LS536 for operational reasons.
It later departed after been check out.
Seems they may have had some love and attention as I've seen them op on the MAN-TLV before now, and they go eastbound to Turkey/Cyprus etc regularly.
The inbound LS888 from Prague to Manchester will also divert into Leeds later this evening.
The aircraft was then redeployed from MAN to Palma as LS257A and departed about 1 hour later. But had to divert stright back into Manchester for a second time.
Manchester based Boeing 757-200, G-LSAI then operated the service late yesterday afternoon as LS257.
Jet2 are going to operate 2 Manchester flights through Leeds again today due to Aircraft problems. Passengers are currently been bused over the hill/M62

She did about 9 runs around the hold to burn off fuel for landing. Otherwise she would have been over weight.
Passengers are been bused from LBA to EMA this evening while the aircraft will now go onto operate tonight's delayed LS475 service from LBA to Dalaman.
He was heading towards Manchester as he flew straight past to the south of the LBA as normal while descending from 13,000ft down to 11,000ft going towards the Rosun hold. But all off a sudden he then just made a big right hander/u-turn and dived into Leeds for some reason.
Dose anyone know the as to why?
Last night LS908 diverted to LBA due to requiring fuel as she could't hold for long. She departed with passengers back to MAN as LS908A at around 22:10.
Today's Jet2 LS257 service to Palma is been operated out of Manchester due to been an aircraft short.

She got just beyond the south of England before making a u-turn over the English Channel and diverting back North due to a tech problem. The aircraft left LBA an hour later heading out to Venice as LS801A.
She eventually declared a PAN, PAN, PAN and landed safely at Manchester with out the use of her flaps.

Meanwhile due to LBA been closed the following diverted to Manchester
LS186 from Malaga = B733, G-CELU
But it looks like we are losing are FR156 service from Dublin as his heading to Manchester now.
I would also hazard a guess that most easyjet will end up at MAN/LPL as it has the staff there able to cope with the arrivals
Instead the airport is going to close now as NOTAMED. So that they can fully clear the remaining snow off and then de-ice the runway over night for tomorrow mornings early departures.
Meanwhile Ryanair flight RYR9MR from Dublin to Newcastle operated by Boeing 737-800WL, EI-DWA also diverted into Leeds at around 08:30 this morning. He positioned back empty to Dublin as RYR1DL.
He has been holding for about an hour over the Humber and North-Sea at 19,000ft..
Meanwhile Eastern Airways flight EZE35AL been operated by G-WOWA now also diverting from to East Midlands.
KLM Fokker 70, PH-OFP operating the KLM1549 from Amsterdam is looking to go to Teeside.
Touchdown 500 meters, - Mid-Point 500 meters and Stop-End 450 meters and its started to Snow
