In from PMI and back there. That plane must make a fortune over the summer, flying busted CFMs and RB211s about.

LS must have taken some spare CFM56-7 engines with the planes they acquired to have one available so quickly.

Manchester based Jet2 aircraft is due to position over to Leeds/Bradford shortly as LS47A to pick up the dealyed LS271 Alicante passengers seen that B757-200, G-LSAB is out of position down in Tenerife with crew out of hours
Quote | Reply | Top of Page
First it was G-LSAB going tech and causing delays. Now 757-200, G-LSAG went tech this morning. She has been fixed and just departed on the 5 hour delayed LS271 service to Alicante.

Meanwhile it looks as though the spare East Midlands based 757-200 is to position into Leeds later this afternoon as LS41A to operate the LS207/208 Murcia service otherwise them flights to would be delayed 5 hours due to waiting for G-LSAG to return.

Mistral airways are due to operate there last charter from LBA to Rome this Tuesday, August 16th. Flight ZM9833 will position in empty at 09:30 and then depart back out at 10:20 as ZM1834. It is also worth pointing out that it's the big one a at York races this week. Yep you've guess it it's the Ebor meet. So we may get a few biz and freight movements as well hopefully....

Seen it mentioned elsewhere that G-NOAH is something to do with the Irish racing people like Magnier and McManus. Apparently it's got the full interior kit with a shower and stateroom for longhaul. Might be more interesting stuff heading your way.

Easyjet re-start there Geneva-Leeds-Geneva winter operation's today using Liverpool's based fleet off Airbus A319's, It Look like G-EZAI will be the first to visit this winter.
Quote | Reply | Top of Page
I expected more from easyjet!!
i honestly thought that they would have introduce new routes and based an aircraft at Leeds!! Because they haven't done this, does that mean they don't think there is much room for expansion at LBIA ???
Quote | Reply | Top of Page
It's more an indication of not launching routes at a difficult economic time. MAN hasn't got the 7th based unit for next year that was talked about by them just a couple or so months ago. Plus it's unlikely they would launch a base with just 1 aircraft.

Loganair did a charter for Leeds utd trip down to Crystal Palace. The aircraft used, Saab 340, G-LGNK operating the outbound on Friday and again yesterday evening on the inbound from Biggin Hill.

Quote | Reply | Top of Page

Has Jet2 given up on the traditional Jet2 liver

G-CELF went into Manchester's Air Livery on 16th. Not sure what it will appear as.
Quote | Reply | Top of Page
G-CELF should be retaining it's Red & Sliver livery. As it only required a repaint after having it's c-check completed last week down in Belgrade.
Quote | Reply | Top of Page
Jet2's latest, Boeing 737-300, G-GDFK (Ex G-STRE) has just been delivered to Leeds as EXS032E from Bournemouth wearing Jet2holidays colours.
