London Heathrow Airport Forum | Future A380 operators at LHR

With Malaysian Airlines starting their A380 service to LHR next year, I was wondering how many flights they will send daily. 1x 388 + 1x 744? Or will they go 1x 388 + 1x 772?
Also, who else do you think will start operating into Heathrow? Korean Air , or maybe Asiana?

Hi,I mentioned something about this on another forum and someone said Korean airlines haven't got plans for the A380 to heathrow this year.From what I remember Korean only have one flight to heathrow so can't see it happening yo be honest.Hope I'm wrong thou as looks a great livery for the A380.I feel China southern could bring it.

Air China is another possible user, although they could bring the 748i to the party as well (as could KE). It is not impossible that one or more of the new wave of carriers such as Hong Kong Airlines and Hainan (subject to them completing a purchase) or Japan's Skymark could also obtain slots and start service eventually. Kingfisher is looking unlikely.

The privately owned A380 sold to a Saudi prince is a definite for LHR, I would expect.

Does anybody know when the Boeing 787 will be starting ops to Heathrow and what airlines will be using it please? I come from Manchester and the only airline so far who will be gracing us with the aircraft is Thomsonfly on the holiday routes!

Lots of airlines have them on order. I would expect Qatar to start using theirs as well, maybe we'll see them at Manchester as they should arrive before the A350.
