The Dash 8 CGMXR is due to be delivered to Eurolot and will be re-registered as SP-EQB. They have 6 more on order so could be a regular thing. Will be nice if in Eurolot livery.

See here for future deliveries:

[FR24] have now activated ground traffic for all airports where we have ground coverage. Dubai, Amsterdam, MANCHESTER , Stansted, Funchal, Chicago, Brisbane, Gdansk, Lodz are some of the airports with ground coverage today. You can block ground traffic in settings if you want. http://www.flightradar24.com/

Thanks Betablockeruk. The only problem I'm finding so far with the FR24 change is that it has become very difficult to click on the airport symbol to bring up the due list as there is so much clutter in the way. However, zooming in very close seems to do the trick. FR24 is an outstanding website by the way ... are you involved with it?

No, just picked up a Facebook message advising of latest developments. FR24 is an absolute dream! I even love the fact that all the Flybe stuff doesn't show and clutter the screen ;-)

Do you know why the beta version is now asking for a password for access. I can't find any info about it or the reason.

Probably indicates gone back to alpha testing before a beta release

Is currently based at MAN, on trials for GMP. Looks like they might be getting rid of G-GMPB and replacing it with that.

Suppose Cheshire would be interested too. It depends on the loiter speed of the thing as GMPB can fly in circles at low speed. That with its winglets can probably do even better.

GMPB isn't that old really but I wonder what kind of rules it has to comply with? It isn't military, commercial or private.

Winglets are only for fuel economy
Quote | Reply | Top of Page
Apparently it can fly as low as 64KIAS and has 7 hours endurance, so I'd imagine it's not that far off the BN2 they have at the moment.

it`s quite a bit smaller than the Islander a both were on Oceansky ramp today

Winglets are only for fuel economy

winglets can reduce takeoff speed, and improve the all-round efficiency of a wing.
