Manchester Airport Forum | Foxy is flying to Manchester 11th August

Hi everyone im flying tomorrowe on the BE961, i think its a Dasher (i call the Dash 8s that) I wonder what runways will be in use and is anything special due in? I know i will meet Whitehatter (Roy) thats good isnt it, will be taking my brand new Canon 1100D and Canon 75-300mm Lens so hopefully its nice weather.

Iam going to try and take my Tripod for the camcorder but if they say no i will just buy one there, it looks like its gonna be a nice hot day.

Im staying with family friends near Northwich, Cheshire and returning via Wales in my Parents car so will only be flying one way.

If anyone else wants to see me feel free to, i chat a lot!

hey Flying Red Fox, you missed the Antonov that went out yesterday. The best you can get I reckon is the morning and afternoon heavys that are a common sight at Manchester. You can also wait for Biman Bangladesh but it is arriving evening around 7:30pm - 8pm. L.G.

yep Flying Red Fox very good indeed! Rare to have sun at manchester, im either always freezing or sheltering at Manchester. I think the 9th August favoured the spotters great sight and the sun!

nice seeing Foxy today, had to leave because of my (ahem) injuries (long story) but the place was heaving by A380 time and plenty of traffic in and out too.

Thanks mes home now was nice meeting Roy hope he feels better soon. I took about 1800 photos or so and enjoyed my new camera and lens.

My flight got delayed an hour so got there at 11am so missed the early traffic but its best to be flying on a fully functioning Dash 8 had to do an aircraft swap at MAN, wonder who G-ECOB replaced? Saw my plane twice at MAN during the day and i think the hot dogs are cheap here at £2.60 compared with £3.50 - £6.50 down south!

hey Flying Red Fox its aviation231 here this is my new account its my YT! I went with flybe June 30th - July 14th. On the 30th we were delayed by one hour due to the dash-8 going on tech at the last minute so we got go on the NEW E175 G-FBJD went in cockpit too very nice pilots of flybe. When we were coming home we were delayed this time from 11:30 to 13:30 departure time due to technical again E175 back home again G-FBJE this time. I thought overall great flight.
