Hi there, don't suppose anyone could help me with a bit of information.

A friend has travelled to Kefalonia with Thomson Airways and have been trying to track her flight on Flightradar24 since it took off but can you think I can find it? No. Just wondered if anyone would know what Reg plane she would of been on or its type. Quite typical her flight not showing up on FR24. Any help would be greatly recieved.

Thanks

Flight number = TOM2262 departed at 14:50pm

If the aircraft in question wasn't fitted with an Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) transponder, it won't show up on FR24. At present, only about 60 per cent of passenger aircraft benefit from this relatively new technology.

Hi Rob,

Many flights use alphanumeric callsigns for ATC purposes. This differs from the ticketed flight number. Returning to FR24, you may wish to track:

TOM1HL G-FDZZ B738

This aircraft flew MAN-KEF at around the times you mention. You can track it landing at KEF at 17:03 UTC, as well as departing from MAN earlier. When playing back FR24, remember that it is one hour adrift of British Summer Time [BST] as it is set to UTC. Start your playback at 13:45 UTC and you don't have long to wait until TOM1HL pops up. You can then track the whole flight across Europe.

Good luck, and hope you find this helpful.

Reminds me of a post I saw on the internet once...

Gentleman booked car hire online for his family holiday in Kefalonia. Only one problem, he'd selected KEF on the car hire site failing to check the destination properly...
