Any good spotting locations around EMA? Thinking of taking a trip there in July, if so what would be the best times to visit?

Scott.

Well there is a layby at 27end where you can get landing shots but no touch down shots or you could go to crash gate or aviation experience park but for 27 landing shots there way down runway and for rotating shots there already up as they pass you. if there on 09 then crash gate or aviation place would be good or i can recommend the car park of donnington park moto gp circuit!! but you wouldn't get touch down shots i hope this helps

Here are a few I know:

1. If you follow the terminal building round to the left and towards the carparks you can get a view of aircraft parked up.
Often located here are Easyjet aircraft. Often there are things in the way though.

2. Walk along the airport path and follow round the corner. You will see an old Boeing plane sitting outside. This plane will most likely never fly again. You will probably see a few small cargo planes too around near the back car park.

3. If you leave the airport and walk right towards the offices, businesses, and hotels, head towards the end of the runway. There is a mound of grass that gives you a good view slightly above the runway. If you have a rubbish camera with no zoom, this spot gets you the closest shots possible.
