Apologies for the problem this morning - the site was disrupted with an error and after a server restart it made the problem worse.
I am in the process of testing the site on a new server setup. This will be the final move and be the long term solution. We will have 2 servers running constantly and be able to grow to up to 20 servers in under 10 minutes if required.
I'll be testing the new setup this week and hope to move the site over late Friday night. To avoid the problems of last time I'll be redirecting the current database of the old server to use the new one - those who still view the old server for a few days will still get up to date data, but the site may operate slower than normal. I will also add a page onto the site so that you can see whether you are viewing the old site or the new one.
The site will be taken down for approx 10-30mins on Friday while I move the database.
Once again apologies for the problem lately, but I am very confident this new solution will resolve all the problems from next week on.

Oddly enough it's a lot faster today. I just clicked on the bookmark and instead of the usual substantial wait for the page to load, it loaded almost instantly. Whether it's Sky sorting out their DNS issues whcih have been causing me problems of late I couldn't say but something has changed, especially at a time when internet usage is normally pretty heavy in the UK (Sunday teatime)

Yep we'll be hosted in the cloud - probably the correct place for a site with this name anyway!
I've been planning it a while, the photo files have already moved and I have to check everything still runs nicely over mutiple servers (after a few alterations). The site seems to have very busy periods and also a lot of quiet periods so I think the cloud setup is ideal, especially if I can get the auto scaling working.

Hello Dan,Hope you are on the mend. I know you have a lot on but I uploaded one image on the 19th of Jan, the upload was accepted but I dont think it was received. I tried to make contact by the email but that wouldnt send, thats why I am messaging here.
