Over the past few days, there have been some very, how can I put this, 'random' additions to the section.

For example, American Airlines to Ronaldsway, Ryanair and bmi baby to base units on the Isle of Mann, Wizz air to serve Manchester and so on.

These additions are not confirmed, nor likely to be confirmed, and indeed seem like someones wish list.

There was then 2 additions asking for people to 'stop deleting them'.

The movement section clearly states not to add rumours, so therefore they have been deleted. They will continue to be deleted until a confirmation is made (which I doubt is going to happen any time soon).

Regards

Perhaps a way to stop this is to put the name of the person who is adding the movement somewhere on the pagehappy

Not a bad idea. Also, It would be good if an alert could be posted on the Home page (and Facebook?) when a new movement is added, i.e. similar to what happens when an Airport Guide is updated.

I'll look at this - need to stop the spamming on the comments sections so will add this and ban anyone who makes the kind of posts your refering to.

Thanks for clearing them up - theres a lot that have been removed.

Alert on the front page is a good idea, need to allow individual users to select the airports they're interested in and then display them - I'll look at adding that into the new design.

Let me know if you get any other problems I've started recording better who posts what and can ban anyone posting spam movements.

Just a polite reminder.

We seem to have had a small attack of siliness again today, with somebody posting movements such as PIA B777-300's and others posted in the Bristol Airport section.

Please can I remind the home page movements section is for confirmed movements only.

This is not a place to add rumours, create wish lists or speculate. Adding unconfirmed rumours damages the credibility of the section and ruins it for those who use the section as a genuine source of info,

Many thanks

Just to back world_rep up - he is indeed a moderator for the site and is doing a great job moderating not just the forum but also the movements section.

Rumours should NOT be posted in the movement section, it should be confirmed movements only. Unconfirmed times can be posted as long as a note is made that they are unconfirmed.

Random rumours that hold no truth should not be on the section and it is completely correct that thy be removed by mods.
