This has probably been discussed before here and I am aware that there is a mobile version but its so slow and it wouldn't bother me paying for an app, anyone agree?

I presume you're talking about this site? If so, I use it on my iPhone and have no problems at all. As for an app, can't ever see that happening.

Agreed. I can't help thinking that we've got enough on our plate at present without creating even more work for ourselves. Also, bear in mind that, with Dan no longer here to assist on the IT front, the project would almost certainly need to be outsourced, which, if previous experience is anything to go by, would cost a packet!

What does the site run on V-bulletin, ipv, MyBB XMB.. what? I would certantly give making a simple forum app a go.

I think it's more a question of do we actually need/is there any demand for a dedicated app. I use the mobile version of P-M on my Android Samsung Galaxy SII and, like Stu-D, have never had any problems at all.

The only problem I have on my iPhone is that it doesnt like to post replies, it just hangs saying loading, even if I'm connected to the wifi at home, any one else have this and can offer a solution?

Just checked and javascript is on. I had the same problem with my previous phone on Android, I think I only posted 1 message and then it just refused to work

I have that problem on my i-p4. I usually wait until I get home to reply, but if it can't wait I change on to the non-mobile site (this one basically) and that lets me post straight away.
Unfortunately with the way things are at the moment with the site, I can't really put a date on a fix for this issue.

I have real problems with the mobile site and it's load speed on my iPhone. Any suggestions? In fact the full site works better than the mobile site.

This is the issues many of us are encountering. The forum isn't run on standard software and protocols. Otherwise it would have been a lot easier to get to grips with things after Dan's sad passing.
