I met Dan personally and helped him with many ideas that are on site when he was setting up the site so this question comes,
I'm thinking, really will be no future for the Plane-mad without its founder and mentor?
What are your plans? what can we expect in the future?
We can continue to send photos without our fears that the site close tomorrow? are many questions, and I wonder why I have not read any manifestation of the new administrators.

With the current management response.

What do you mean you have not read any manifestation on the new administrators?confused

Baltimore is th current owner of the website, however I dont understand your question. Why cant the site continu without Dan? We have agreed to run it in Dan's memory. I also doubt the website would close overnight, I think there would be some sort of notice.

Ediney, if you would care to read the first post in the thread entitled 'plane-mad.com into the future (part 2)', all will be revealed!

I confess that I am happy because this is where I put most of my photos, I wish every success in the new administrators.

I very much hope that you will continue to do so and that we can look forward to seeing lots more of those great pics that you send us from South America.

Thank you. Rest assured that we (the mods and screeners) will do all we can to ensure that P-M goes from strength to strength and remains fitting tribute to the memory Dan.

If anything it is more secure now. Dan was in the awful situation of administering the site and also trying to fund it at commercial rates, as well as deal with an eventually terminal medical condition.

Now the load has been taken up by a small but dedicated team, in total respect of Dan's memory and what he built. He did his very best for the site and it's in his memory things will continue and grow, with the security of the 'right people' doing the job and looking after the costs.

In spirit this site will always be Dan's site.

Please keep your stunning photography coming, Ediney - we very much appreciate yours (and lots of others) input. It's because of people like you that helps keep this wonderful site great.

Thank you.
