I did a full trip report for my weekend to AMS posted it, Site said i was not logged in even though i had logged in before typing post. No Trip report, please help???

After many months of debating I finally decided to arrange a trip to AMS.

I was going to Fly with BMI baby (cheaper) but didn't fancy the travel to East Midlands airport. So went with KLM (abit pricer) from HUmberside. Location of departure was better for me as its just across the water from Hull.

The flight was a KLM Fokker 70 (Reg PH-KZC) flight no. 1486 06:10 TO AMS.

Unfortunately no pics I had packed my camera in my rucksack, off to a great start!

Took off from Humberside on time no dramas, clear sky beautiful views (you'll have to take my word for it). The Flight was very short I think approx 25mins, even though it was short KLM still fed us Veal sandwiches and a drink for breakfast! We landed with about 15mins taxi-ing at Schiphol.

The aircraft taxied to what can only be described as a Air park for Fokkers and Embraers. I arrived a Terminal by bus and quickly made my way to the Panorama terrace which was clearly marked.


Upon my arrival to the terrace I was on the look out for one type of aircraft....the MD-11. Only ever seen one at KLAS.

Wasn't long till i found one

I was a happy man.

I got myself tucked under the Fokker 100's wing on the terrace and proceeded to snap away.

Spent hours on the Panorama terrace, I shot over 300 different registrations of aircraft

Then i was really happy to see an MD-11 named Amy Johnson (PH-KCA)

Being a Hull lad it was really good to see, she grew up only a few streets away from where i live (before my time though)

Anyway had to leave at some point, my pregnant wife wouldn't have been happy my staying for longer than two days.

I flew back home on a Fokker 70 (PH-KZC) KL1497 back to Humberside. This time with Photos

We hit turbulence on the way back the little Fokker was like a Rollercoaster, it was awesome!!!! The woman next to me was not so impressed.

Landed with no issues Fokker 70 I flew back to Humberside on.

I would definitely fly KLM again. NO issues with the staff (good looking Air hostesses make flying pleasant) Was it worth the money I would say, yes! My wife would say no!. I will be going back to the Schiphol in the future very good for spotting.

Were you allowed multiple entry onto the Panorama Terrace?
