The following guides are created by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts to detail some of the key spots around certain airports for viewing and photography.

3 Brand New Features

Some of our guides now contain up to 3 brand new additions.

  • Runway in use - Find out which runway is likely to be in use at this moment in time and for the next few hours. This feature uses real METAR and TAF weather information issued by the airport and used by pilots, comparing the current wind direction to the ruway direction to give a likely runway in use described in plain English.
  • Get directions - Most of our guides also now feature a utility to get directions from your house (or hotel if travelling abroard for photography / spotting) to the viewing locations described in the guide. This includes both a map showing both points and a written description of the route to take.
  • Customised print option - Print the guide with the features you want and don't waste paper with those you don't! Includes an option to print directions to any number of photo spots within the guide.

As all of these features are new and some fairly complex any feedback is welcome, either by posting a forum message or by using the contact me form

Add your own guide to another airport. Please remember that the guides are designed for enthusiasts, we are interested in where around the airport it is possible to view and take pictures of aircraft. Please do not write a review of an airport from a passenger perspective. I would highly advise anyone who wants to include a guide to have a look at a few of our existing guides first as the format for each will need to stay the same.
