09R departures at Heathrow in nice weather results in some fantastic photo opportunities. Air Canada Star Alliance colours A340-300 C-FDRO was just one of the aircraft picturered during a visit yesterday. More stunning pictures from the day can be seen here.	The first shots from my recent trip to Dubai are now online. A lot of unusual airlines feature, such as this Kam Air 737-800 on approach from Kabul. There were a lot more unusual aircraft pictured and one not so unusual, bmibaby's latest 737 making a surprise appearance on its delivery flight to the UK from Indonesia. US Airwas have painted their first A330 in the new colours. Managed to finally catch N423AY arriving at Manchester, just a week after watching in frustration as it departed on another runway about a mile away.	The Airbus A380 visited East Midlands Airport yesterday as part of a flyby of Derby for te workers of Rolls-Royce. The all white F-WWDD was the aircraft involved, which didn't stand out very well on what was a very misty morning!
PIA now operate the larger 777-300's into Manchester as well as the smaller 777-200's. I got my first shot of their first aircraft AP-BHV on Saturday just touching down on 06R.	Caught Silverjet 767-200 G-SJET at Luton today with the aircraft operating only its 3rd scheduled flight. Silverjet are a brand new airline operating low cost business class only flights between Luton and Newark.
Finally managed to catch the Ryanair Boeing scheme on EI-DCL at Manchester. The aircraft seen on a typical dull Manchester day departing for Dublin.	The Airbus A380 touched down in the UK for the very first time today. F-WWDD landed on runway 27L at 13:20 local time, right on its scheduled arrival time. See more pictures in the photo gallery.
Caught the Qatar Airways Airbus A330-300 A7-AED in a special livery for the Asian Games being held in Doha. It was third time lucky for me as the aircraft had been in the past 2 Sundays which I couldn't make. Got it today though!	Was pleasantly surprised to see Lufthansa Airbus A321 D-AIRX in the special anniversary retro colours today at Manchester. The aircraft departed from 24R very, very early though meaning I didn't quite get the shot I wanted.
